Mata- Pita pooja is a unique tradition followed in Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Koramangala. This instils a feeling of reverence and love within the child and awakens deep emotions and sentiment within the parents. Generally, this is performed every year after the Navaratri. This year it was carried out with a lot of enthusiasm on 10th November,2023.
All the students of class X and XII performed the pooja at the school ground, under the able guidance of the Resident Archarya Swamini Kashikananda and the Principal Mrs. Sathyarani. Swaminiinspired the gathering with an excellent explanation of “Matrustavanam” by Swami Tejomayananda. The Principal, Mrs.Sathyarani elucidated the significance of this puja highlighting the enduring emotional bond between a parent and a child. It was an unforgettable experience for the parents; many of them were overwhelmed with emotions.
