Objectives : To enable the children to begin their journey into the world of literacy and wisdom by writing ‘OM’ which symbolizes the beginning of a life long journey of learning knowledge and discovery.

Content : The programme was anchored by Mrs. Geethanjali the Vice Principal of pre-primary section. The event started with Invocation song by Mrs. Dakshayani, Mrs. Kusuma, Mrs. Anuradha, Mrs. Ashwini and Mrs. Thulasi. Principal Mrs. Sathya Rani welcomed the Executive Secretary, parents and tiny tots to the auspicious programme. Mrs. Geethanjali the Vice Principal of pre-primary gave a brief history of school and Chinmaya mission with PPT. The purohit Shivram Bhat guided the nursery teachers in performing the Saraswathi pooja. An inspiring speech was given by Sri Krishna Bhatta which included the importance of our culture and Samskaras and initiated the Aksrabhyasa to the children. Parents helped the children to write OM on the slate as instructed by Sri Krishna Bhatta. The Hindi work book designed by Mrs. Deepa wajantri, Mrs. Shivaleela and Mrs. Veena for 2nd std to 8th std was released in the presence of Executive Secretary Sri Krishna Bhatta, Principal and Vice Principals. Nursery class teachers were introduced by the principal followed by Mrs. Dakshayani reading the general instructions for parents. Finally, the vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Shyma Hegde. The enthusiastic parents and the curious students were motivated towards the new academic year. The programme ended with Shanthi mantra and distribution of prasada.
Outcome :
The parents and the tiny tots were exposed to the traditional culture of Aksharabhyasa.
Curiosity for learning developed in the minds of tiny tots to gain knowledge.
